SO Misty and I are having both standing our ground over the above! It is what I have created by taking my old scraps of soap and instead of throwing them away I crush them together to form a new bar? Misty says it looks like a turd, but I know that its just soap so why waste it? I mean if I had thrown away these scraps I would have thrown away a whole bar of soap, right??? C'mon I need some backup on this one! Soap is soap no matter what the sahpe. BTW the black part is from an oatmeal face scrub bar I purchased from Sephora. Waste not Want not!!!!

Ok I know you said that the black is another kind of soap, but it only makes it look like it's growing mold. It needs to be thrown out! I get what you mean about wasting all that soap though... so I'm kind of torn. Let's weigh the scales... wasting perfectly good soap vs. throwing away something that looks like its growing a fungus... throw it away.
Bite the bullet, throw it out (it's gross!) and get liquid soap. I had two teenage boys at home and had to do away with bar soap because it was so nasty.
Rick! Why save all the little slivers to squish together? Why not just squish the old sliver to the NEW bar of soap? That way you don't have to keep all the little slivers until you get enough to make a new bar of soap?
I agree with the others, throw it away and seriously consider liquid soap. And how much is a bar of soap nowadays, $.75-$1? Is the $.05 you're saving really worth it?
well, it is not as bad as an aunt of mine - her bars were scrunched together like Rick's - but...... to make it worse, she stuck the cap from a bottle of soda (remember when they looked like beer caps?) onto the top of the bar so that she would have something to hold onto and make it last even longer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
